I am Irish – originally from Dublin and now living in Dundalk in the north east of the country. I have a degree in French and Irish and started my career as a teacher. When I left teaching I worked in the call centre environment and worked for more than twelve years on the French market, where I was called upon to do translation of texts, manuals etc from time to time. In 2020 I decided to study for a formal qualification in translation and gained a Diploma in Translation from the Open University in the UK. I am looking forward to using my skills as a volunteer translator for the many worthy causes that Proz Pro Bono assists.
